K-Mass – Provide a Fire Proof Environment for Your Critical Components and Systems

Spartech Manufacturing has extensive experience in providing fireproof solutions in a number of different forms. Recent pursuits and projects have included explosion-proof buildings in addition to fire-proofing for both components and enclosures.

One product capable of producing a suitable fireproof barrier is known as K-MASS.

K-MASS is an intumescent epoxy-based formulation cast in user product form or moulded onto a device requiring fireproofing. Extensive testing has proven that a 12.70mm (0.5") thick K-MASS coating over a properly prepared substrate will give internal components adequate protection in a fire for a 30 minute period.

Moulded K-MASS can be prepared and fitted to critical components to provide an all over fireproof layer. Fireproof enclosures are NEMA 4X panels coated in a pre-determined K-MASS layer.

Spartech Manufacturing has recently developed the ability to incorporate K-MASS to any application should the customer require it.
