Synopsis
Overall working knowledge of the EIM Series 2000 electric actuator. Provides the fundamentals of electrical operation through a M2CP modular control package. Students learn to identify and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components; to differentiate actuator control problems from valve problems; and basic skills for providing on-site operation, maintenance and servicing.

Technicians, mechanics, operators and others who install, maintain and operate EIM electric actuators.
Objectives
- General knowledge of actuator and valve functions as well as an understanding of the Series 2000 electric actuator
- Identify & locate M2CP package & housing group components
- Basic wiring diagram interpretation skills, required to operate & maintain the control package and its control options
- Set travel limits and torque switches
- Develop the skills required to provide on-site operation, maintenance and servicing for Series 2000 model actuators
